Randal Ulmer has been repairing brass instruments for over 40 years, 35 of those years in the New York area. Among his customers have been members of many major orchestras and ensembles, including the Metropolitan Opera, Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and, in Nova Scotia, Symphony Nova Scotia, Symphony New Brunswick, the Stadacona Band, and many others.
In addition to his repair business, Randal has worked as a professional hornplayer with performance experience ranging from Broadway to the American Ballet Theatre, an orchestra in which he has been performing for over 30 years.
Situated in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he has quicky become appreciated by his new colleagues here, both musically and for his expertise in brass instruments.
